Baru saja kembali dari anniversary trip 4 hari dengan Teman Liveaboard, dan honestly, the balance between elegance and adventure was perfect. Kami berhenti di Gili Lawa dan Long Beach — sunrise di Gili Lawa itu seperti painting, the colors just exploded across the sky. Teman sendiri, meskipun phinisi built in 2017, interiornya masih terasa very contemporary, especially the teak detailing. I loved how the crew anticipated needs tanpa terasa intrusive. Dinda, our guide, sangat knowledgeable soal marine life di Batu Bolong. Snorkeling di sana? Mind-blowing. Coral health-nya jauh lebih baik daripada yang saya lihat di Raja Ampat tahun lalu. Hanya satu hal kecil: wifi di tengah laut memang limited, tapi to be fair, that’s part of the disconnect we needed. Would’ve loved one more night — 5 days would’ve felt even more unhurried.

Escape dari Rutinitas dengan Nuansa Lautan
Saya dan suami, both in our 50s, butuh break dari hustle Palembang. Teman Liveaboard terasa seperti moving sanctuary. Panjang 36 meter tapi feel-nya cozy, not overwhelming. We especially loved Sebayur Island — the sandbar there, when tide is low, looks like a dream. We brought our kayak, and crew helped launch it without fuss. Di Komodo Island, ranger menjelaskan behaviour of the dragons dengan sangat engaging. Makanan onboard? Very thoughtfully composed — ikan bakar with lemongrass and lime, salads with local greens. Agak less coffee variety, tapi they brewed a decent pour-over. Yang paling berharga? The quiet. No loud music, no crowds. Just ocean, conversation, and the occasional splash from a dolphin near the bow.

Sebagai penggemar sustainable travel, saya sangat appreciate how Teman Liveaboard handles eco-practices. Zero single-use plastic, waste properly segregated, and they even use reef-safe sunscreen. Kami explore Komodo Island dan Nusa Kode — both rich in biodiversity. Di Nusa Kode, saya melihat manta ray dari permukaan, tanpa diving! It was surreal. The yacht itself, meskipun mewah, doesn’t feel wasteful. Energy use is monitored, and water heater only on demand. Kabin kami, di bagian belakang, sangat sunyi. Saya sempat request early breakfast sebelum sunrise hike, dan mereka accommodate without hesitation. Hanya satu hal: signal phone langsung hilang setelah lepas dari Labuan Bajo, tapi honestly? That’s probably a feature, not a bug. We were here to disconnect.

Baru saja menyelesaikan 5 hari bersama Teman Liveaboard, dan honestly, this was less of a vacation, more of a reset. Being on a phinisi that blends traditional craftsmanship with modern comfort — seperti Teman — gives you space to breathe. Kami singgah di Gili Lawa dan Long Beach, both offering such different energies. Gili Lawa, very cinematic; Long Beach, more meditative. Saya banyak menulis di deck pagi-pagi, sambil minum teh dan mendengar ombak. Crew-nya respectful banget — they know when you want company and when you don’t. One small note: the USB port in my cabin stopped working on day three, tapi sudah fixed sebelum makan malam. It’s the little things — seperti the handmade soap in bathroom, or the fact that they remember how you take your coffee — that make it feel truly bespoke.

Photography Expedition yang Sangat Terencana
Sebagai wildlife photographer, saya butuh boat yang bisa mendekatkan saya ke spot terpencil tanpa mengorbankan gear safety. Teman Liveaboard delivered. Perjalanan 5 hari ini fokus ke Nusa Kode dan Komodo Island, both offering very different compositions — one dramatic cliffs, the other raw savanna meets turquoise. Kabin saya, the Master Suite, had enough space untuk lay out equipment dan charge semua baterai. Crew bahkan prepared a small dry station for my lenses. Di Batu Bolong, visibility mencapai 25 meter — perfect for wide-angle reef shots. Satu catatan: breakfast bisa lebih varied, tapi I understand di tengah laut, logistics itu tricky. Yang paling berkesan? Golden hour di atas deck, editing photos sambil ditemani soft jazz dari sound system mereka. Very curated experience.
Corporate Retreat yang Justru Membangun Koneksi
Kami dari tim leadership sebuah fintech membawa 10 orang ke Teman Liveaboard untuk 4D3N corporate retreat. Awalnya ragu, apakah phinisi sepanjang 36 meter cukup untuk group dynamic, tapi ternyata layout-nya sangat smart. Ruang lounge jadi spot natural untuk discussions, sementara deck atas dipakai untuk morning meditation session. Kunjungan ke Sebayur Island memberi kami total privacy — no other boats in sight. Team building terjadi secara organic saat snorkeling di Long Beach, where even our CFO ended up chasing parrotfish with a camera. Service-nya discreet tapi on-point. Hanya sedikit delay waktu transit dari Komodo ke Gili Lawa karena cuaca, tapi captain handled it dengan transparan. Post-trip survey menunjukkan 100% of team felt more aligned. That says a lot.

Honeymoon yang Tenang dan Personal
Memilih Teman Liveaboard untuk honeymoon karena kami ingin sesuatu yang intimate, bukan resort yang crowded. Dan Teman delivered. Dengan hanya 5 cabins, rasanya seperti private yacht. Kami habiskan dua hari pertama di Nusa Kode — sepi, dramatic waves, dan the silence itu priceless. Dinner di deck bawah, candlelit, dengan sound of waves tapping the hull, was pure romance. Crew tahu exactly when to appear and when to fade. Snorkeling di Batu Bolong? Spectacular. I’ve dived many spots, tapi diversity di sini impressive banget. Ada moment kecil: air conditioner di kabin agak noisy malam pertama, tapi engineer langsung adjust within 20 menit. That responsiveness? That’s what sets a luxury phinisi apart.
Komodo dari Sudut yang Lebih Tenang
Saya dan 5 rekan dari kantor datang untuk short corporate wind-down, dan Teman Liveaboard ternyata sangat cocok untuk group kecil. Dengan kapasitas 12 tapi kami cuma 6 orang, feel-nya seperti private charter. We anchored near Sebayur Island and Long Beach — no other boats in sight, which is rare. Meeting sessions kami lakukan di upper deck pagi hari, sebelum heat becomes intense. Afternoon dihabiskan snorkeling atau just lying around with a book. The galley served consistent, high-quality meals — their grilled mahi-mahi with mango salsa was a highlight. Satu observasi: the shower drainage agak slow di kabin saya, tapi mungkin karena heavy sand from beach visits. Overall, Teman managed to balance professional needs with true relaxation. We returned to Bandung feeling recharged, not drained.
