KELOR ISLAND
Ancient sailors called it "The Guardian." Dutch colonials built watchtowers on its crown. Local legend says it's a giant sea turtle turned to stone. A 20-minute climb rewards you with 360° views of dragon territories. The coral gardens below hide patrolling sea turtles in crystal shallows.
MANJERITE
Every sunset, tens of thousands of flying foxes launch from mangroves, creating a black river across orange skies. Ancient sea nomads believed these bats carried souls to the afterlife. Watch from your deck at 17:30. The sky will erupt. You'll forget to breathe.
PADAR ISLAND
Three crescent bays—turquoise, cobalt, jade—curve around dragon-spine ridges. Legend says a dragon princess died here protecting her brothers. Her body became the ridgeline. Her tears became three seas. The 30-minute climb is ruthless, but every explorer says: "I can die now."
PINK BEACH
One of only seven pink beaches on Earth. Microscopic red coral creates a rose-gold blush. Sailors once feared it was cursed by dragon blood. The reef drops from knee-deep to 50 meters—turtles, reef sharks, and octopi patrol waters so clear you'll think you're dreaming.
KOMODO ISLAND
Ground zero. The throne. Komodo dragons—largest lizards on Earth, unchanged for 4 million years. They sprint 20 km/h, kill with venom-laced bites. Trek with armed rangers. Watch them sun like kings. Feel evolution stare back. This isn't a zoo. It's their Kingdom
TAKA MAKASSAR
A sandbar that emerges at low tide, then disappears beneath waves. Sea nomads called it "Ghost Island"—a resting place for ocean spirits. Stand in the middle of the ocean with ankle-deep water. Snorkel where the island vanishes. Your private Maldives, but only for 2 hours.
MANTA POINT
A submerged pinnacle where currents collide, creating a cleaning station for manta rays with 7-meter wingspans. Divers call them "Royal Stingrays"—reincarnated ocean kings. The taboo: look, never touch. Watch them barrel-roll beneath you. Swimming with mantas IS your bucket list.
GILI LAWA
Twin islands—Lawa Darat and Lawa Laut—frame the golden highway between sky and sea. Ancient traders navigated by these peaks. At sunrise, watch the world ignite from savannah ridges. At sunset, the sky bleeds into three shades of fire. The 30-minute trek is steep, but the 360° view makes kings jealous.
SLABA ISLAND
Slaba rises like a fortress from deep blue—a volcanic dome crowned with savannah where white-bellied sea eagles hunt. Bajo fishermen call it "Pulau Rajawali" (Eagle Island), believing the birds are guardians of hidden treasures below. Dive the walls where currents deliver big fish, sharks, and swirling barracuda. Above: eagles. Below: an underwater avalanche of life.
SEBAYUR ISLAND
Sebayur guards one of Komodo's best-kept secrets: untouched coral gardens teeming with life. While others chase dragons, divers chase legends here—pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefishes, and macro critters hiding in soft coral forests. The bay is a natural aquarium. The hillside trek offers sunrise views without the Padar crowds.
KANAWA ISLAND
While crowds chase Pink Beach, explorers slip to Kanawa—pristine coral reefs, zero crowds. Fishermen once avoided it, believing the Sea Goddess protected these waters. The reef here is 80% live coral. Turtles nest on beaches. Blacktip sharks patrol shallows. This is the Komodo nobody talks about.
SABOLO ISLAND (RANGKO CAVE)
Hidden in Sabolo's limestone cliffs lies Rangko Cave—a saltwater cavern illuminated by a ceiling skylight. Sunbeams pierce the darkness, turning water neon blue. Local legend says bathing here grants courage to face dragons. Swim through the entrance tunnel. Surface inside the cathedral. Float in liquid sapphire while light dances on ancient rock.
BIDADARI ISLAND
Bidadari" means angel in Indonesian. One glance explains why. Powdery white sand. Turquoise shallows. Zero crowds. Fishermen say angels rest here between monsoons, leaving footprints in the sand that waves erase by dawn. Snorkel the fringing reef where baby blacktips patrol. This is your castaway fantasy—pristine, peaceful, perfect.

Arfisyana Indah Phinisi exceeded my expectations for a honeymoon. We anchored near Komodo Island and had the most surreal sunrise view from the sundeck — the light hitting the hills was magical. The Master Suite was spacious with excellent ventilation, and they even set up a private dinner at Long Beach, which felt so intimate. Crew-nya sangat attentive without being intrusive, seperti they knew exactly when to appear with a cold towel or fresh coconut. One minor thing: the wifi was a bit spotty, tapi honestly, I didn’t miss it much. We spent our days snorkeling at Manta Point, where I counted at least 15 mantas dancing around me — such a humbling experience. The breakfast spread with local fruits and homemade granola was consistently fresh. What stood out was how they remembered our coffee preferences by the second day. Traveling with just us two and five other guests made it feel exclusive, not crowded. Would’ve loved one more night to explore Wae Rebo village more deeply, but that just means we need to come back.

Choosing the Arfisyana Indah Phinisi for our babymoon was one of the best decisions we’ve made. At seven months, I needed comfort, but not confinement. The boat offered both freedom and ease. The Standard Cabin had excellent ventilation—no stale air—and the shower drained quickly, which sounds minor but matters when you’re prone to nausea. We spent a blissful afternoon at Pink Beach, where the crew set up a private nook under a sailcloth canopy. I napped while my partner snorkelled, returning with tales of a manta ray gliding just offshore. The highlight, though, was Padar Island at sunset. They timed the hike perfectly: cool enough to climb, light golden and soft. From the top, the tri-bay vista was almost unreal—like a painting. The crew had packed warm wraps and spiced tea, anticipating the evening chill. Dinner that night was served on deck: coconut curry with eggplant and kaffir lime. The galley clearly values freshness over theatrics. One small note: Wi-Fi is essentially non-existent beyond basic signal checks. But again, that felt like a feature, not a flaw. We ended each day stargazing, the Milky Way vivid in the unpolluted sky. Komodo Island felt primal—seeing dragons in the wild, so ancient and indifferent, reminded us how small we are. The boat’s 29-metre length handled the straits with grace. This wasn’t an escape. It was a recalibration.

Bawa keluarga besar — from my parents to my teenage niece — ke Arfisyana Indah Phinisi ternyata pilihan terbaik. The layout of the boat made it easy for everyone to have their own space. We loved the stop at Rinca Island, where the ranger showed us baby komodos up close, quite thrilling for the kids. The Standard Cabins were comfortable, and kamar mandi-nya bersih dengan water pressure yang bagus, penting buat yang rambutnya tebal seperti saya. Makanannya? Absolutely on point — mix of Indonesian comfort food and Western options. My mom especially loved the soto ayam on Day 3. Snorkeling at Kalong Island was peaceful, meskipun airnya agak dingin. Crew-nya sangat sabar mengakomodasi permintaan khusus, like when my dad needed early tea at 5:30 AM. One small note: the sunbed cushions could use a refresh, tapi overall, sangat impressed with how smoothly everything ran for a multi-gen crew.

O itinerário por Sebayur Island e Long Beach me conectou à natureza de forma rara. A energia do barco é calma, quase meditativa.

A energia do barco é serena, quase meditativa. Um verdadeiro refúgio.
