KELOR ISLAND
Ancient sailors called it "The Guardian." Dutch colonials built watchtowers on its crown. Local legend says it's a giant sea turtle turned to stone. A 20-minute climb rewards you with 360° views of dragon territories. The coral gardens below hide patrolling sea turtles in crystal shallows.
MANJERITE
Every sunset, tens of thousands of flying foxes launch from mangroves, creating a black river across orange skies. Ancient sea nomads believed these bats carried souls to the afterlife. Watch from your deck at 17:30. The sky will erupt. You'll forget to breathe.
PADAR ISLAND
Three crescent bays—turquoise, cobalt, jade—curve around dragon-spine ridges. Legend says a dragon princess died here protecting her brothers. Her body became the ridgeline. Her tears became three seas. The 30-minute climb is ruthless, but every explorer says: "I can die now."
PINK BEACH
One of only seven pink beaches on Earth. Microscopic red coral creates a rose-gold blush. Sailors once feared it was cursed by dragon blood. The reef drops from knee-deep to 50 meters—turtles, reef sharks, and octopi patrol waters so clear you'll think you're dreaming.
KOMODO ISLAND
Ground zero. The throne. Komodo dragons—largest lizards on Earth, unchanged for 4 million years. They sprint 20 km/h, kill with venom-laced bites. Trek with armed rangers. Watch them sun like kings. Feel evolution stare back. This isn't a zoo. It's their Kingdom
TAKA MAKASSAR
A sandbar that emerges at low tide, then disappears beneath waves. Sea nomads called it "Ghost Island"—a resting place for ocean spirits. Stand in the middle of the ocean with ankle-deep water. Snorkel where the island vanishes. Your private Maldives, but only for 2 hours.
MANTA POINT
A submerged pinnacle where currents collide, creating a cleaning station for manta rays with 7-meter wingspans. Divers call them "Royal Stingrays"—reincarnated ocean kings. The taboo: look, never touch. Watch them barrel-roll beneath you. Swimming with mantas IS your bucket list.
GILI LAWA
Twin islands—Lawa Darat and Lawa Laut—frame the golden highway between sky and sea. Ancient traders navigated by these peaks. At sunrise, watch the world ignite from savannah ridges. At sunset, the sky bleeds into three shades of fire. The 30-minute trek is steep, but the 360° view makes kings jealous.
SLABA ISLAND
Slaba rises like a fortress from deep blue—a volcanic dome crowned with savannah where white-bellied sea eagles hunt. Bajo fishermen call it "Pulau Rajawali" (Eagle Island), believing the birds are guardians of hidden treasures below. Dive the walls where currents deliver big fish, sharks, and swirling barracuda. Above: eagles. Below: an underwater avalanche of life.
SEBAYUR ISLAND
Sebayur guards one of Komodo's best-kept secrets: untouched coral gardens teeming with life. While others chase dragons, divers chase legends here—pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefishes, and macro critters hiding in soft coral forests. The bay is a natural aquarium. The hillside trek offers sunrise views without the Padar crowds.
KANAWA ISLAND
While crowds chase Pink Beach, explorers slip to Kanawa—pristine coral reefs, zero crowds. Fishermen once avoided it, believing the Sea Goddess protected these waters. The reef here is 80% live coral. Turtles nest on beaches. Blacktip sharks patrol shallows. This is the Komodo nobody talks about.
SABOLO ISLAND (RANGKO CAVE)
Hidden in Sabolo's limestone cliffs lies Rangko Cave—a saltwater cavern illuminated by a ceiling skylight. Sunbeams pierce the darkness, turning water neon blue. Local legend says bathing here grants courage to face dragons. Swim through the entrance tunnel. Surface inside the cathedral. Float in liquid sapphire while light dances on ancient rock.
BIDADARI ISLAND
Bidadari" means angel in Indonesian. One glance explains why. Powdery white sand. Turquoise shallows. Zero crowds. Fishermen say angels rest here between monsoons, leaving footprints in the sand that waves erase by dawn. Snorkel the fringing reef where baby blacktips patrol. This is your castaway fantasy—pristine, peaceful, perfect.

The Lady Grace Cruise offered a quiet kind of luxury—one that didn’t shout but simply settled into the rhythm of the sea. We charted from Labuan Bajo to Gili Lawa, where the snorkelling held us suspended above coral gardens pulsing with reef sharks and bumphead parrotfish. Later, a sunrise trek on Padar Island revealed those iconic serrated ridges, all bathed in soft gold. As a babymoon, it couldn’t have been more grounding. The cabin was serene—teak finishes, linen that breathed, and a deck just ours for evening tea. Service was intuitive, never intrusive. I’d have liked slightly more consistent Wi-Fi for sporadic check-ins, but honestly, the disconnection was part of the point. The crew anticipated needs: a chilled towel after hiking, a perfectly timed glass of Sancerre at sunset. Three nights felt generous, though I wouldn’t have complained about a fourth day tracing the quieter coves near Taka Makassar. There’s a grace to how this boat moves—both the vessel and the way she’s run.

Sailing on the Lady Grace Cruise felt less like a tour and more like a private exploration. We were a group of six—old university friends reuniting after years—and the balance of shared space and privacy was impeccable. Our route took us from Komodo Island, where the rangers guided us through the dragon habitat with dry wit and reverence, to Manta Point. Floating above those silent giants was the kind of moment you don’t describe much, just carry. The yacht’s design—launched in 2021—shows in the quiet mechanics and fluid layout. Dining was understated brilliance: grilled reef fish with tamarind glaze, local greens, and a sauvignon blanc that held its own against the view. One evening, the generator hummed a bit longer than expected, but the engineer resolved it swiftly. What stayed with me was the ease—how naturally the days unfolded. Not a single decision felt forced. That, to me, is the mark of true luxury.

The master cabin was so spacious, queen bed-nya empuk banget, dan jendela besar bikin morning light masuk lembut banget. We spent Day 1 di Long Beach—pasir putihnya seperti powder, airnya jernih level next level. Sempat snorkeling sebentar, coral condition-nya masih pristine, banyak baby turtles berkeliaran. Day 2 ke Padar Island untuk sunrise hike. The view from the top? Absolutely cinematic. Crew-nya sangat attuned—always anticipating needs, tapi nggak overbearing. They even prepared a private beach picnic dengan buah musiman dan coconut ice cream, which was such a sweet touch. Makanan onboard? 10/10. Fresh grilled lobster with sambal matah, daily seafood catch—it felt curated, not repetitive. One small note: WiFi signal only works near sundeck, and even then, intermittent. Tapi honestly, that’s probably a good thing for digital detox. Wish we’d booked for 5 nights instead of 4—time flew by. Lady Grace Cruise feels more like a floating private villa than a yacht. Such a serene, elevated escape.
